Start or Sit Allen Robinson, Robert Woods, or Sammy Watkins in Week 11?

Should I Start or Sit Allen Robinson, Robert Woods, or Sammy Watkins in Week 11

As you know, my wife and I are going head to head this year to see who is better at predicting the unpredictable, and telling you who you should start or sit. I am using mostly statistical analysis with a touch of gut feeling. Erin is using whatever thing she uses to tell you how each player’s name speaks to her. Yesterday we covered tight ends. Now, we’re moving on to wide receivers.

Week 11 Start or Sit Picks

Start or Sit Allen Robinson at Los Angeles Rams Week 11

Bryan’s Take: Robinson has been fairly consistent, and worth a start in all but one week. However, he only has three TDs on the year, two of those coming in the same game.  So, if you’re looking for touchdowns, you may want to look somewhere else. Although the Rams have a good defensive line, it’s not impossible to pass on them. It is difficult for sure, but, at the same time, receivers have scored double-digit fantasy points against them in each of the last three games. I think Robinson can keep that trend going this week. There’s no question Trubisky constantly looks in his direction (who else is there?), providing a reasonably safe floor. Start Allen Robinson in Week 11.

Erin’s Take: This is obviously a family name, as “Allen” hasn’t been a popular baby name since 1964. This tells me his family instilled pride and tradition in him at a young age, and that makes me a believer. Start Allen Robinson in Week 11.

Start or Sit Robert Woods vs. Chicago Bears Week 11

Bryan’s Take: In the preseason, I considered Woods the second-best receiver on the Rams, and so far that’s proving true! Don’t get me wrong, Woods has not shown any consistency at all. Jared Goff’s “I want to be a good QB” wish has worn off recently, and he’s dragging his pass-catchers down with him. On top of that, the Bears are less-than-kind to opposing receivers, having only given up one receiving TD in their last six games. All signs point to a down week, in a fairly low scoring affair. Sit Robert Woods in Week 11.

Erin’s Take: I’m sure there’s no family relation between Robert Woods and James Woods, but they do sound like brothers fighting in the Civil War. I have a feeling Robert Woods acts like the Family Guy version of James Woods. Which is not great. Sit Robert Woods in Week 11.

Start or Sit Sammy Watkins vs. Los Angeles Chargers Week 11

Bryan’s Take: I’ll keep this one short and sweet, just like Watkins! Ok, he’s not really short, but he might as well be. His ceiling has been shrinking every week since his Week 1 explosion. Sure, he catches a good amount of balls each week, giving him a decent floor, but when Mahomes goes deep, it’s to Hill or Hardman, or even Kelce. Watkins runs the short routes, and that’s putting a serious cap on his value.  Sit Sammy Watkins in Week 11.

Erin’s Take: I like the name Sammy a lot. I have no idea what he looks like, but I would imagine he’s very attractive. As we all know, attractiveness comes from symmetry, and people with symmetrical faces tend to be more athletic. I say Start Sammy Watkins in Week 11.

Final Ranks

Bryan: Allen Robinson > Robert Woods > Sammy Watkins

Erin: Sammy Watkins > Allen Robinson > Robert Woods
