Start or Sit Robert Woods, Calvin Ridley, or Michael Gallup in Week 6?

Should I Start Robert Woods, Calvin Ridley, or Michael Gallup in Week 6?

This year, for start-or-sit advice, I’ve decided to share my wife’s fantasy football “insight” with the world. We will be looking at some sticky fantasy football start or sit decisions each week, and each of us will tell you whether or not you should rock ’em or sock ’em. I will use mostly statistical analysis, with just a touch of gut feeling. Erin will use whatever thing she uses to tell you how each player’s name speaks to her.

Start or Sit Robert Woods vs San Francisco 49ers Week 6

Bryan’s Take: Jared Goff has been spreading it around like a lonely frat boy with attachment issues. It’s possible there’ll be one less mouth to feed this weekend, with Brandin Cooks recovering from a concussion. That would be good news for Robert Woods. The bad news for Woods is the 49ers defense just made OBJ and Jarvis Landry look like ODB and Tom Landry. Woods hasn’t scored all year, and I don’t see that changing this week. Especially with Gerald Everett becoming a thing…? Sit Robert Woods week 6.

Erin’s Take: Robert Woods has an old man’s name, but Alexa tells me he’s only 27. Still, I can’t get past that elderly bluesman moniker. Sit Robert Woods week 6.

Start or Sit Calvin Ridley at Arizona Cardinals Week 6

Bryan’s Take: This seems like a slam dunk to me: Calvin Ridley is coming off a great game in Houston last week, and the Cardinals have given up 12 passing TDs this year, one off the league worst. In fact, the Cardinals defense has been mostly swiss cheese all year. This should be a good week for all your Falcons, and a good week to start Calvin Ridley week 6.

Erin’s Take: To me, Calvin Ridley sounds more like the name of a baseball player than a football player. I kind of like the Falcons, but mostly because Ludacris rapped about getting busy on the 50 yard line at the Georgia Dome. Sit Calvin Ridley week 6.

Start or Sit Michael Gallup at New York Jets Week 6

Bryan’s Take: Michael Gallup came back strong after missing a couple games. Lord knows the Cowboys have needed some help after Dak Prescott threw two TDs and two INTs in the two games without him. The New York Jets have been OK against the pass this year, and pretty much shut down the Eagles passing game last week. However, I trust the Cowboys’ offense a lot more than the Eagles’. Gallup should have plenty of opportunity to build on last week’s big game. Start Michael Gallup week 6.

Erin’s Take: With a last name like that, he better be fast. I wonder if he was always fast, or if he got teased as a kid for not living up to his name. Wild horses couldn’t drag me away from Starting Michael Gallup week 6.

Final Ranks

Bryan: Michael Gallup > Calvin Ridley > Robert Woods

Erin: Michael Gallup > Calvin Ridley > Robert Woods
