In terms of San Francisco 49ers fantasy football, they were the kings of making chicken salad out of chicken… poo. And given the concessions at Levi’s Stadium, that chicken salad would have been certified organic, non-GMO. The Niners turned in decent fantasy football production from backups last season. Matt Breida was the biggest breakout at running back, with Jeff Wilson, and Raheem Mostert tossing in great games. Jimmy Garoppolo went down and gave the Niners a few games of C.J. Beathard before Nick Mullens rattled off four 19+ fantasy point games in eight starts. An early injury to Pierre Garcon, the inconsistency of availability from Marquise Goodwin, and a nagging injury to Dante Pettis meant that Kendrick Bourne led all 49ers wide receivers in targets. The “fantasy football” San Francisco 49ers with Jimmy G and Jerick McKinnon back in the fold, and with the addition of Tevin Coleman, should take a huge step forward on offense in 2019. That leaves very few holes left on the San Francisco 49ers for fantasy football production going into the 2019 NFL Draft.

2019 San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Football Draft Wishlist: WR, Interior OL
Wide Receiver
The 49ers don’t have a big receiver outside of George Kittle. Granted, having a top-three tight end makes up for a lot of wide receivers corps ills, but they still need a WR to add to the corps. Ideally, they add a big guy to give Jimmy G another red zone weapon. Goodwin fills the speedster role, Pettis the slot. They need a big, beefy wide receiver who pluck snag Handsome James’s touchdowns out of the air. They aren’t going to get one of the round one wide receivers, so a Miles Boykin or J.J. Arcega-Whiteside is their best bet to shore up their receiving corps and to bolster fantasy football production in 2019.
Interior Offensive Lineman
Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey will man the outside for the Niners, but the Laken Tomlinson-Weston Richburg-Mike Person interior leaves a lot to be desired. They are also still recovering from having a massive bust in Josh Garnett on the roster. Kyle Shanahan showed last season that he doesn’t need all the talent in the world to make his offense work, but he sure would love some. Michael Jordan could be a good call here, but given their needs on the defensive side of the ball, it’s likely the Niners don’t draft an impact player along the interior of the line. Sure would be nice to get a road grader for the McKinnon/Coleman/Breida Cerberus, but that’s probably not in the cards for the 2019 NFL Draft.
