Start or Sit Carson Wentz, Tom Brady, or Sam Darnold in Week 7?

Should I Start Carson Wentz, Tom Brady, or Sam Darnold in Week 7?

This year, for start-or-sit advice, I’ve decided to share my wife’s fantasy football “insight” with the world. We will be looking at some sticky fantasy football start or sit decisions each week, and each of us will tell you whether or not you should rock ’em or sock ’em. I will use mostly statistical analysis, with just a touch of gut feeling. Erin will use whatever thing she uses to tell you how each player’s name speaks to her.

Start or Sit Carson Wentz at Dallas Cowboys Week 7

Bryan’s Take: Don’t look now, but Carson Wentz is having a typical Wentzian season. The big big big question, of course, is how long can he stay upright? Desean Jackson is expected to play this week, giving Wentz a full complement of healthy receivers. You can throw on the Cowboys. Just ask Sam “The Kissing Bandit” Darnold. Hopefully, Dallas breaks out of there little offensive slump, which would make for an even huge-mongous-er Sunday night for Wentz.   Start Carson Wentz week 7.

Erin’s Take: I love dogs, and Carson Wentz loves Instagramming his dogs, Henley and Jersey. So, he seems like a very sweet man, but doesn’t seem like a very manly dude. Sit Carson Wentz week 7.

Start or Sit Tom Brady at New York Jets Week 7

Bryan’s Take: Odds are that if you have Tom Brady, you’re starting Tom Brady. Even with the Patriots defense doing their impression of a black hole, Brady is still chucking the rock with gusto. He had 42 pass attempts in a blowout win over Washington two weeks ago, and 41 pass attempts in last week’s 35-14 win over the Giants. There’s no reason to think the Patriots stop throwing in a Monday night AFC East showdown in New York. Start Tom Brady week 7.

Erin’s Take: The best thing about Tom Brady is that he stopped wearing those god awful sweaters during post game press conferences. I think he’s a caveman, but he’s probably going to do great because he always does. Start Tom Brady week 7.

Start or Sit Sam Darnold vs. New England Patriots Week 7

Bryan’s Take: If you have Sam Darnold, your starting QB must have suffered a season ending injury and you’re desperate. That said, there’s hope for Darnold, and the Jets in general! They looked like an entirely different team with Darnold back under center. Unfortunately for Sammy the Spleen, the Patriots defense has been virtually unbeatable. Is it possible that Darnold puts up some good numbers? Sure. Is it a terrible gamble, and one that can be avoided by streaming one of several other QBs potentially available on your waiver wire? Yes! The future is bright, but you should really sit Sam Darnold week 7.

Erin’s Take: Arnold with a D? Ok… I like the name Sam a lot, but I hate his last name. You can’t say Darnold without Darn! Sit Sam Darnold week 7.

Final Ranks

Bryan: Carson Wentz > Tom Brady > Sam Darnold

Erin: Tom Brady > Carson Wentz > Sam Darnold
