Fantasy Football Week 7 RB Sleepers – Parental Advisory (Gore)

Waiver Wire Sleeper Running Backs
Fantasy Football Week 7 RB Sleepers

After this week, everyone will be at least halfway done with the fantasy football regular season. This is also the fourth bye week that will leave us without some solid fantasy football starters. If your starter is missing, benched or injured, we are here with some RB sleepers to help you out. These RB sleepers are available in at least 50% of Yahoo! leagues. For you guys who like to pump your chest out and exclaim “that guy’s available? How can I be in your league?” there is a player available in at least 90% of Yahoo! leagues. Ownership figures are as of Friday afternoon.

RB Sleeper: Duke Johnson Jr at Tampa Bay (45% owned)

Nick Chubb will be getting his first crack at the starting role this season, and the Browns have quietly been working Duke Johnson, Jr. in from the cold, giving him more snaps than the now out the door Carlos Hyde over the last two weeks. With Chubb having only 33 snaps all year, and Duke averaging 39.6 a contest, expect more run for Duke Johnson, Jr. this weekend as the Browns get Chubb acclimated to the lead back role. Expect little resistance from the Buccaneers, who have been shredded by receiving backs this year, and allow the eighth-most fantasy points to running backs overall.

RB Sleeper: Frank Gore versus Detroit (26% owned)

Whether you call him The Ancient One (Marvel fan), The Inconvenient Truth (Al Gore fan), or The-Old-as-Dirt-Running-Back-Stealing-Carries-from-Kenyan-Drake (Kenyan Drake fan…tasy owner), you can’t deny Frank Gore has been producing lately. He’s fresh off his first 100-yard rushing game of 2018 and has increased his carries and carry efficiency in each of the last four games. This week’s opponent, the Lions, offer little in the way of resistance on the ground. They allow the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs and a mind-boggling half-yard per carry more than any other team in the NFL.

DEEP RB SLEEPER: LeGarrette Blount at Miami (10% owned)

Despite Kerryon Johnson being the far more talented running back in Detroit, the Lions are hellbent on giving Blount carries and Theo Riddick targets. However! This weekend, Theo Riddick is gone, and that means Ameer Abdullah finally gets some. The three-headed monster turns two-headed, with Blount and Johnson taking a gameplan for three backs and turning it into two. They should provide plenty of thunder and lightning against a Dolphins team that gives up the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs. This is probably one of the last times that you can use the man affectionately nicknamed “Hey Didn’t he Suckerpunch A Guy in College?”

If you found these QB sleepers helpful, you’ll probably want to check out the remainder of our sleeper pieces this week:
A Darnold, A Baker, An Elite QB Faker (QB Sleepers)
A Kearse Upon Your House (WR Sleepers)
Use Uzomah (TE Sleepers)
Baddest of the Bad (D/ST Sleepers)
