Fantasy Football: Week Two Waiver Wire Wide Receivers aka Revenge of the Rookie Receivers

We are one week into the football season and you’ve already lost a quarter of the ACL’s on your roster.  What’s a man to do?  Fear not, because one man’s draft disaster is another man’s waiver wire opportunity.  So let’s take a look at the best candidates available on the waiver wire. (Spoiler alert: It’s an all-rookie class)

Kenny GolladayOwned in 20% of leagues – One of the best kept secrets in this draft class, Kenny Golladay is a secret no longer after posting catching 4 passes for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  He was on the field for 62% of the Lions snaps and looks to be carving out a bigger role in this offense.  This is a man who is going to get a lot of looks in a high-powered offense.  He is also my number one waiver wire pick at any position.  Why isn’t he already on your roster?

corey davis.jpg

Corey DavisOwned in 46% of leagues – Corey Davis falls just short of the 50% owned threshold, so there is a good chance he is available in your league.  There is also a good chance that everyone in your league is dumb, because you let Corey Davis be available on the waiver wire.  Top five selection in this year’s NFL draft, he came out in week one and showed you just why the Titans had to have him.  He had 6 catches for 69 yards, including a highlight reel grab.  He should be on a roster and if you are smart, it’ll be yours.

Cooper KuppOwned in 28% of leagues – Cooper Kupp had an impressive debut for the Los Angeles Rams, catching 4 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.  While Robert Woods saw more snaps, it is only a manner of time before Kupp wins the starting job.  Make sure he is on your roster before that happens.
