Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: Only the Good Buy Young

Week two of the 2026 NFL season is done, and you have made every bad decision a man can make. You thought Mike McDaniels could make Justin Herbert good, and you were wrong. You thought Drake Maye was elite, and you were wrong. You thought you could win at fantasy football, and you were wrong…unless you actively use the waiver wire to save your sucky team. Before you give up on your fantasy season, remember that the waiver wire exists to save you from the cruel and unforgiving fantasy football gods. I will provide you with the best options available.  If I don’t mention someone whom you think I should be talking about, just know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad I don’t even consider them.  Or maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let us examine our best week two waiver wire options for our championship run…

Week Three Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (30% rostered)

It is quite simple. Bryce Young is currently QB2 of the season.  Will it last? Probably not. If you need quarterback help, you would be an idiot not to take a shot. 648 passing yards and 6 touchdowns in two games is no joke.

Week Three Waiver Wire Running Backs

Jonah Coleman, Denver Broncos (32% rostered)

In week two, Jonah Coleman had 42.4% of the Broncos’ snap share. He tied for most carries on the team and had the second most routes run. Most important of all, Coleman did this in the second half when the team was behind, and the offense was stalling. Coleman saw 65.6% of the team’s snaps in the second half. If you need running back help, there is a chance that Coleman is the Broncos’ lead back before the season ends. This is a priority waiver addition.

Week Three Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Denzel Boston, Cleveland Browns (32% rostered)

My number one waiver priority for the week is Denzel Boston. Through two weeks, Denzel Boston is WR18 and WR10. One week is a coincidence. Two weeks is when you need to start taking notice.  Through two weeks, Denzel Boston has 7 catches for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rookies who are breaking out in the first two weeks are guys you want on your roster. It also isn’t an outlier on a limited snap count, as Boston has the most routes run and is tied for the highest target share on the Browns.  Get Denzel Boston.

Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints (13% rostered)

Through two weeks, Devaughn Vele is the WR12 on the season (barring the Monday night game). Vele has a 17.8% target share on an offense that runs the most plays in the NFL. Vele also has the second most targets. If you need wide receiver help while you wait for guys to get healthy, Vele is a great option.

Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders (28% rostered)

In week two, Tre Tucker had 5 catches for 119 yards and 1 touchdown. Right now, Tucker is tied for the team in target shares and routes run. Right now, Tre Tucker appears to be the WR1 in a Klint Kubiak offense. If you need wide receiver help, this is a great grab.

Week Three Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Darren Waller, Carolina Panthers (5% rostered)

Let me preface this by saying that no tight end is worth using a waiver on. Having said that, Waller ran the 3rd most routes in the red zone for the Carolina Panthers.  The  Carolina Panthers are also the number two scoring offense in football.  If you want a tight end, might as well grab the guy on a potential high-scoring offense. Will the Panthers continue to run hot? Probably not, but right now all the data points to this offense being good.  So shoot your shot!  (Once waivers clear)
