New York Giants 2026 Fantasy Football Rookie Roundup

The New York Giants only put one fantasy-relevant player on the board in the 2026 NFL Draft, but Malachi Fields could return some fantasy value in his rookie campaign. Let’s break him down!

Round 3, Pick 74 Overall: Malachi Fields, WR

TALENT

Fields is a massive nine-route specialist who isn’t particularly fast, and who has the tightest hips that you have ever seen. He is a one-trick pony and his trick is having a huge catch radius (and he is a pretty good blocker, so 1.5 tricks). Outside of that, he doesn’t create separation, is not a YAC guy, and doesn’t really transform any portion of the offense. He’s mostly a big bodied outside receiver who is there to make Jaxson Dart’s life easier on third down not to produce any sort of consistent fantasy points for your team, similar to how the 49ers used Jauan Jennings before he broke out.

NFL Comparison: Allen Lazard
Draft Grade: Round 6

2026 OPPORTUNITY

There’s a chance for Fields to produce in this offense. I’m not super bullish on the talent, but I wasn’t incredibly bullish on Wan’Dale Robinson, either. The Isaiah Likely addition makes the offense more crowded, but there’s still a role for Malachi Fields, similar to how Jennings carved out a fantasy-relevant role for the 49ers a few years ago. The Malik Nabers factor also looms large, as he is expected back for week one from his knee injury, but that doesn’t mean that he will be at 100%. It’s an interesting path to value for Fields, but he received the day two value that makes him worth looking at in redraft leagues (approximately 20% hit rate for top-100 wide receiver picks).

2026 FANTASY FOOTBALL OUTLOOK

Malachi Fields is a player that I am not quite bullish on yet for 2026 fantasy football leagues, but a name that I am keeping an eye on for redraft and best ball leagues to see if there is any interesting camp buzz. It’s a new team, so the target competition is wide open (behind Nabers, obviously). There are a lot of directions the Giants could have gone inside the top-ten to collect fantasy-relevant players (wide receivers, or trading up a few picks for Jeremiyah Love). Ultimately, he could have some value at some point during the season & is worth a look as a late flyer in redraft leagues and as a part of a Jaxson Dart stack in bestball.
