Week eleven of the 2024 NFL season is over and despair has finally set in. Anthony Richardson finally learned how to play football by watching Joe Flacco, Aaron Rodgers has learned nothing, and the Bears are still the Bears. Football is pain and suffering and that is why the waiver wire exists. To save you from the cruel and unforgiving football gods. I’m going to provide you with the best options available. If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, just know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Perhaps they are so bad I don’t even consider them. Maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let us examine our best week eleven waiver wire players for your championship run…
Week Twelve Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (48% rostered)
In week 12, Matthew Stafford threw for 295 yards and 4 touchdowns and finished as the QB5. In three of his last four games, Stafford has scored 18 or more fantasy points. It is almost like having Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua makes a difference for the Rams offense.
Week Twelve Waiver Wire Running Backs
Ameer Abdullah, Las Vegas Raiders (1% rostered)
Alexander Mattison and Zamir White left the game against the Dolphins with injury. If both of these guys look like they will miss time, Abdullah is a must-grab if only because he is a running back with a pulse who will see volume. Monitor the Raiders injury report and act accordingly.
Roschon Johnson, Chicago Bears (12% rostered)
There aren’t any running backs worth burning a waiver on this week. If you are desperate for a running back option, Roschon is a guy worth looking into. In week 12, he was on the field for 44% of the team’s snaps. Roschon is the goal line back, as evidenced by his 10 carries for 33 yards and 1 touchdown. Under the new offensive coordinator, the Bears ran more than they passed, so Roschon could be a sneaky value. Don’t burn a waiver on him, but if you need running back help, make sure to grab him once waivers clear.
Week Twelve Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (52% rostered)
In week 12, Christian Watson finished with 4 catches for 150 yards, finishing as the WR10. There are a lot of ways you can go with wide receiver on the waiver wire, but none of your options are as explosive a playmaker as Christian Watson.
Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns (59% rostered)
According to Steve Smith, Jerry Jeudy ain’t shit, but in week twelve he was the shit. Jeudy finished with 6 catches for 142 yards and 1 touchdown, making him the WR4. Since Jameis has taken over, Jeudy is second on the team in routes run and leads the team in targets per route run. Jeudy is the WR1 for a quarterback who loves to sling it. I don’t love the player, but the situation is about as good as it gets on the week twelve waiver wire.
Week Twelve Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Will Dissly, Los Angeles Chargers (15% rostered)
You might be wondering why I’m talking about Will Dissly and not Taysom Hill as my tight end to watch. There are two reasons. First, Taysom Hill is on a bye in week twelve. Second, Taysom Hill just had his bullshit Taysom Hill week of the season. If you didn’t start him already, you probably missed your chance. In week eleven, Dissly finished as the TE5 with 4 catches for 80 yards and 1 touchdown. Dissly has the highest targets per route run on the year for the Chargers and runs the fourth most routes. He isn’t sexy, but he is a guy with a decent floor who has TD upside. Don’t burn a waiver on him, but he is a solid streaming option.
