We’ve hit week seven, and the halfway point to most fantasy football leagues. We’ve also seemingly reached the ceremonial drop-dead point for a lot of teams in fantasy football leagues. Owners are starting to give up, and free agent pools have become more robust. There are limited numbers of roster slots in a league, and more people giving up means more people on the wire. That means you profit!
As always, these fantasy football sleeper quarterbacks are available in at least 50% of Yahoo! leagues, with one deep dive available in at least 90% of leagues. As always, check Waleed’s Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet, but if you can’t find those quarterbacks, check out these week seven fantasy football sleeper quarterbacks!
Week Six QB Sleeper:
Jacoby Brissett versus Houston (45% Owned)
Take advantage of your league mates ditching Brissett after he threw zero touchdowns against the Chiefs then took a whole week off. Never fear, he still rushed for a touchdown in that Chiefs effort, and even though he hasn’t thrown a touchdown in October, he still ranks ninth in the league in touchdown passes. Frankly, it’s bonkers that he’s owned in fewer than 50% of leagues, given that he was game planned out of that KC game due to Marlon Mack running it 29 dang times to keep the ball away from Patrick Mahomes. This week, he gets a Houston team that’s allowed at least 16 fantasy football points in four-point passing touchdown leagues to every QB they’ve faced but Kyle Allen, and 19 fantasy points allowed in three of their last four contests.
Week Six QB Sleeper:
Daniel Jones versus Arizona (31% Owned)
Like Brissett, people have jumped ship on Danny Dimes. That’s completely understandable, as his fantasy football performances have dropped down each week after his big 34.24 point fantasy performance. Two of these were completely foreseeable situations: Minnesota allows the eleventh-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, and the Patriots rank dead last. This week, he gets a top-three matchup in the Arizona Cardinals. They’ve allowed three passing touchdowns three times already this season, and multiple in every game but one. I should be a bounce-back game for Daniel Jones against a hapless Cardinals secondary.
Week Six QB Sleeper:
Joe Flacco versus Kansas City (9% Owned)
The last two games have been downright dreadful for Flacco, as he faced the #23 and #24-ranked defenses over the last two games, and came out of them with just fifteen fantasy points combined. I know, that’s not exactly an inspiring track record, but your other option is Ryan Fitzpatrick. Do you want Ryan Fitzpatrick? No? Then keep listening about Joe Flacco. Prior to those two dreadful games, Flacco torched the Jags for 303 and 3, posting 23.02 fantasy points. This week, he gets a KC defense that has allowed at least 21 fantasy points to three of their last four quarterbacks faced, and the one that didn’t reach that mark was Jacoby Brissett, who had the ball taken out of his hands and forced into Marlon Mack’s belly.
