Should I Start Devonta Freeman or LeSean McCoy Week 2
This year, I’ve decided to share my wife’s fantasy football “insight” with the world. We will be looking at some sticky fantasy football lineup decisions each week, and each of us will pick the player that we think should be started. I will use mostly statistical analysis, with just a touch of gut feeling. Erin will use whatever thing she uses to tell you what name speaks to her. Without further ado, let’s get into it:
Devonta Freeman or LeSean McCoy Week 2
Things were not pretty for Devonta Freeman and the Falcons on Sunday, leaving many a fantasy owner asking, “What have I done?” and “Where’s the Tylenol?” and “What is an Ito Smith?” Freeman had 19 yards (barf) on eight carries (puke), but there were a couple of positive takeaways. Freeman did lead Falcons RBs with three catches on four targets, and this was against a no joke Vikings D that appears to be one of the best in the NFL. Meanwhile, McCoy showed a lot of life for 31 year old RB on his 3rd team. He was splitting time with Damien Williams, but McCoy was much more efficient. However, Williams was used more in the passing game and punched in a short TD. Can Freeman return to form vs. Philly? Will McCoy get a bigger piece of the pie this week?
Bryan’s Pick: I have to admit, I was skeptical about LeSean McCoy, but he looked great in his first game with the Chiefs. If Andy Reid is smart, and I think he is, McCoy will be an even bigger part of the offense against the Raiders.
Erin’s Pick: Devonta Freeman is a very flashy name for a very flashy player. I think he’ll do well because he sounds like a show off. Also, his last name reminds me of Morgan Freeman, and I love him.
