2024 Fantasy Football Week 15 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: What is this Thielen?

Week fourteen of the 2024 NFL season is complete and if you are reading this, you made the fantasy playoffs. Unfortunately, your team also looks like the end of a John Wick movie after you killed his dog. Luckily, the waiver wire exists to save you from the cruel and unforgiving fantasy football gods. I’m going to provide you with the best options available.  If I don’t mention someone whom you think I should be talking about, just know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad I don’t even consider them.  Or, maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let us examine our best week fifteen waiver wire players for your championship run…

Week Fifteen Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (6% rostered)

If you need a quarterback for the fantasy playoffs, Bryce Young is playing a Cowboys team that is giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. It isn’t a sexy option, but the matchup is solid.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Running Backs
Patrick Taylor Jr., San Francisco 49ers (4% rostered)

Isaac Guerendo left the Bears game late with a foot injury, but not before delivering a fantastic performance. With the 49ers playing on a short week, you need to look long and hard at Patrick Taylor Jr. because if Guerendo doesn’t play, Taylor has an RB2 floor. While Guerendo says he is fine, I find the best practice for 49ers injury reports is to assume that Kyle Shanahan is a liar with his pants constantly on fire. Even if you won’t start him, grab him so nobody else can use him.

Sincere McCormick, Las Vegas Raiders (13% rostered)

With Alexander Mattison still injured, Sincere McCormick saw 61% of the Raiders snaps at running back. While he only managed to get 89 all-purpose yards, beggars can’t be choosers and he appears to be a guy who will see usage. With Aidan O’Connell potentially out for the year, this could mean the Raiders lean more into running the football. Who knows what will happen? All I do know is that if you are looking at Sincere McCormick, you are probably desperate.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers (18% rostered)

Like a fine wine, Adam Thielen just gets better with age. In week fourteen, Thielen had 9 catches for 102 yards. Over the last two weeks, Thielen has 21 targets, 17 catches, 201 yards, and 1 touchdown. If you need to stream a wide receiver, he is the clear number-one target in Carolina, as well as a PPR machine. Get Adam Thielen.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (45% rostered)

The Seahawks allow the 5th most targets and the 6th most receptions to tight ends. The reason I like Kraft here is because he has a nice floor, with breakout potential. Kraft leads the Packers in routes run. He is only 4th in targets on the team but is 10 targets away from being first. This feels like a streaming option that should have a decent floor, with a potential boom if he finds his way into the end zone. Kraft is averaging 10.7 fantasy points per week over his last three weeks. He is a solid player if you need a tight end.
