2024 Fantasy Football Week 11 Streaming Defenses: You Know the Bears Still Made it in Here Somehow

nfc divisional round green bay packers fans

If you read my article on playing the waiver wire game, you know it is essential to winning your fantasy football league.  If you haven’t read it, what are you waiting for?  I just told you it’s a necessary part of winning your fantasy football league!  Why do you hate winning?

One of the best ways to maximize your weekly scoring is to stream defenses.  This strategy is simple – we aren’t as concerned about good defenses, so much as finding defenses that are playing terrible offenses.  Bad offenses are more likely to keep playing badly because if they knew how to be good, they would already be good.  Because of this flawless logic, I will be pointing out the best streaming options every week.

Green Bay Packers DEF (27% owned) @ Chicago Bears DEF

The Bears organization is in turmoil.  They just fired their offensive coordinator and haven’t scored a touchdown in two games. They have allowed the 2nd most sacks, have the 2nd fewest yards per play, and the 5th fewest first downs. On top of all that, they are playing a Packers defense that has the 2nd most turnovers, despite already having a bye week. The Packers’ defense is the DST8 on the season. And if you need any more convincing on whether you should start the Packers’ defense against the Bears, look up the last 20 years of Bears’ matchups against the Packers.

Houston Texans DEF (40% owned) @ Dallas Cowboys

It is interesting how we look at the Houston Texans. Because we had such high expectations for this team, we don’t appreciate that the Texans are 6-3 and one of the best teams in football. On defense, they have the 4th most turnovers, the 7th most sacks, and allow the 4th fewest yards per play. This week they are playing a Dallas Cowboys team that has the 2nd most turnovers is giving up the 8th most fantasy points to opposing defenses, and is starting Cooper Rush at quarterback. The Texans have scored 9 or more fantasy points in 4 of their last 5 games, making this a very interesting matchup.

Los Angeles Rams DEF (11% owned) @ New England Patriots

My last flier is the Los Angeles Rams. The New England Patriots are giving up the 6th most fantasy points to opposing defenses.  The Patriots have the 4th most sacks, the 3rd fewest yards per play, and the 2nd fewest points scored per game. It is also worth noting that the Los Angeles Rams are the DST11 on the season. They are a solid match-up play and this is a really good match-up for them.

FOR THE FUTURE

Denver Broncos DEF (58% owned) @ Atlanta Falcons

While reviewing this week, I was surprised that the Denver Broncos are only 58% rostered. While I do not like them this week against the Falcons, I don’t hate them either. The Broncos are the DST2 on the season. They allow the 4th fewest points per game, the fewest yards per play, and have the 2nd most sacks. They are as close to a set-and-forget defense as you will find and after the Falcons, they face the Las Vegas Raiders and Cleveland Browns.
