2024 Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: The Most Important Decision You’ll Make Today

Week nine of the 2024 NFL season is over and so is all my belief in the Bears. Unfortunately, my fantasy teams have also been a nightmare. Rather than give up, I will continue to comb the waiver wire because if I must live in this bleak and desolate landscape, I want to beat my opponent and make them suffer the way I suffer. Because the waiver wire exists to save you from the cruel and unforgiving fantasy football gods. I’m going to provide you with the best options available.  If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Perhaps they are so bad I don’t even consider them.  Maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let’s get the best week ten waiver wire adds for your championship run…

Week Ten Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Daniel Jones, New York Giants (12% rostered)

All the good quarterbacks are gone, so your best bet is playing match-ups. In week nine, Danny Dimes had 174 passing yards, 54 rushing yards, 2 passing TDs, and a rushing TD. That made him QB4 on the week. In week ten, he plays the Carolina Panthers, who give up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing defenses. You probably don’t need to burn a waiver on him, but Daniel Jones is probably your best option if you need quarterback help in week ten.

Week Ten Waiver Wire Running Backs
Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills (54% rostered)

In week ten, Ray Davis had 90 all-purpose yards and 1 touchdown. Ray Davis has had three double-digit fantasy performances in his last four games. The fact is, there are not a lot of options at running back on the waiver wire and Ray Davis is the best one.

Week Ten Waiver Wire Wide Receiver
Quentin Johnson, Los Angeles Chargers (33% rostered)

I am leading with Quentin Johnson because that is what everyone is leading with. I am doing so as a warning, not an endorsement. In week nine, Quentin Johnson had 4 catches for 118 yards and 1 touchdown.  It sounds nice, but per @FantasyPtsData, Quentin Johnson has 30.8 fantasy points this year on busted coverages.  That accounts for 44% of his overall production and is 53% more than any other player. This is not sustainable. Let someone else fall on that grenade.

Sterling Shepard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (36% rostered)

In week nine, Sterling Shepard had 69 all-purpose yards. (Nice!) I thought Jalen McMillan was going to get the work with Godwin and Evans out, but Sterling Shepard is clearly the guy at wide receiver. Considering how good this offense continues to be, you should probably get Sterling Shepard.

Xavier Legette, Carolina Panthers (36% rostered)

In week nine, Xavier Legette had 4 catches for 33 yards and 1 touchdown. The simple truth is that Xavier Legette is the WR1 on the Carolina Panthers, and that holds some fantasy value. It probably isn’t a lot, but he should have a decent floor. If you need a receiver, I’d look at him. But I wouldn’t feel great about it, because Carolina Panthers.

Week Ten Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (31% rostered)

Week nine was a Taysom Hill week with 60 all-purpose yards and 1 touchdown. On the one hand, it is rare to have multiple Taysom Hill weeks in a row.  On the other hand, keeping the ball out of Taysom Hill’s hands means you are giving it to Derek Carr. If you need a tight end, there are worse options than Taysom.
