2023 Fantasy Football Week 14 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet

Mt. Passmore Gerald Everett

Week thirteen of the 2023 NFL season is over and the culling has begun. You almost made it to the playoffs before the critical injury hit, but that is not how week 13 worked. It teases us! It taunts us! It haunts us! WHY GOD HAVE YOU FORSAKEN US?!?!?! We are late enough in the season that even the waiver wire can only do so much. If you were not active before, it may be too little, too late. I’m going to provide you with the best options available.  If I don’t mention someone whom you think I should be talking about, just know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad I don’t even consider them.  Maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let us examine who our best week thirteen waiver wire players for your championship run are…

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire QBs

Just wait for the week 14 streamer article. There is not a single quarterback under 50% rostered worth having.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire RBs
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans (25% rostered)

With Derrick Henry in the concussion protocol, Tyjae Spears is the clear number one running back on the waiver wire if you need running back help and need to make a playoff push. This season, guys who have been in the concussion protocol have not played the next week the majority of the time. Spears is a talented back who could see a large workload in week 14. If you need a starting running back and are in the middle of a playoff push, this could be your best option.

Ezekiel Elliott, New England Patriots (33% rostered)

Rhamondre Stevenson left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. While the MRI came out negative, he will probably miss a couple of weeks. The problem is that Ezekiel Elliott is that, much like the New England offense, he is old and bad. Zeke is also still a potential volume play. If you need running back help, and you almost assuredly do, grab him.

DeeJay Dallas, Seattle Seahawks (1% rostered)

Zach Charbonnet left has a bruise on his knee. This running back situation is a lot trickier than the other two to handle. If Charbonnet is healthy in week 14, Dallas is worthless. Without more information, I would say wait on trying to pick him up. The problem is that your league might not give you that option. You know your level of desperation better than I do. Act accordingly.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire WRs
Noah Brown, Houston Texans (29% rostered)

With Tank Dell out for the season, Noah Brown might be one of the sneakiest value plays for the fantasy football playoffs. While his production was non-existent, Brown was coming off an injury and still ran the 2nd-most routes on the team. Brown has the potential to see lots of targets in one of the highest passing volume offenses in football. Brown also has two really strong match-ups in the fantasy playoffs. This is my number one waiver wire pick for week 13.

Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars (15% rostered)

In week 13, Zay Jones had 5 catches for 78 yards, making him the WR28 of the week. With Trevor Lawrence hurting his ankle, the question regarding Zay Jones is simple. Will Trevor Lawrence miss extended time? If the answer is yes, do not grab him. If the answer is no, will Christian Kirk miss an extended time? If the answer is yes, grab him. If the answer is no, do not grab him.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire TEs
Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers (38% rostered)

The Chargers are playing the Broncos in week 14. The Broncos give up the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Nuff said.
