Week Nine Waiver Wire: QB RB WR TE
Fantasy Football: Week Ten Waiver Wire Quarterback aka To The Injured Goes The Spoils
I don’t really know how many new ways I can tell you how terrible the waiver wire quarterback pool for week ten is. The only way you can truly know how bad the waiver wire quarterbacks are is if you’ve had to use one. If you have truly given up on hope, here are some of the dredges of quarterback still available in most leagues.
Ryan Fitzpatrick – Owned in 1% of leagues – It was announced that Jameis Winston is going to be missing at least two weeks. That means that for at least two weeks, Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to be the best available option at quarterback on the waiver wire. While his numbers in relief were not very good against the Saints, he has a favorable match-up against the Jets this week and a ton of offensive weapons to mask his obvious deficiencies. Ryan Fitzpatrick is the best you can do. Sadder words have never been spoken.
Jacoby Brissett – Owned in 24% of leagues – Jacoby Brissett had his best game of the season in week nine. He threw for 308 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. This does not change the fact that he is bad at playing football. You do not want him on your team and you certainly do not want to burn your waiver priority on him.
Teddy Bridgewater – Owned in 5% of leagues – You know the old adage, when one knee tears apart at the tendons, another knee heals. The good news for Teddy Bridgewater is that he is not Sam Bradford and has two functioning knees. It appears he will be activated to the Minnesota Vikings 53 man roster shortly, and they desperately need an upgrade at quarterback. The fact remains that there is no guarantee that he will be the Teddy Bridgewater of old. Heck, there are some questions about whether the Teddy Bridgewater of old was actually an NFL quarterback. I would take a wait and see approach with him. Until he starts an NFL game
Bonus: Aaron Rodgers – Owned in 39% of leagues – I say just look at what I said about the man two weeks ago.
