2025 Fantasy Football Week 16 Streaming Defenses: Brady Cooked, Shedeur Slandered & Scam Ward (Again!)

If you read my article on playing the waiver wire game, you know that it is an essential part of winning your fantasy football league. If you haven’t read it, what are you waiting for? I just told you it’s a necessary part of winning your fantasy football league! Why do you hate winning? One of the best ways to maximize your weekly scoring is to stream defenses. This strategy is simple: we aren’t as concerned with strong defenses as we are with finding defenses that play terrible offenses. Bad offenses are more likely to keep playing badly because if they knew how to be good, they would already be good. Based on this flawless logic, I will highlight the best streaming options each week.

New Orleans Saints DEF (18% owned) @ New York Jets

Last week, I told you to grab the Saints for the playoffs. The Jets are a significant reason. All season long, I have had one rule. If you are top ten in turnovers and sacks, and are bottom ten in points scored per game, I want to start a fantasy defense against you. The Jets are scoring the 6th-fewest points per game, have the 3rd-most sacks, and the 4th-most turnovers. Best news of all, the Saints have just as juicy a match-up next week. The Saints rank 8th in my defensive model this week and are my top pick for defense over the next two weeks.

Buffalo Bills DEF (54% owned) @ Cleveland Browns

After the Houston Texans, the Buffalo Bills are the best defensive match-up of the week for my defensive streaming model. Like the Saints, they are playing a Cleveland Browns offense that is bad in our favorite ways. The Browns score the 2nd fewest points per game, have the 8th most sacks, and are tied for the 4th most turnovers in football. The Bills also have the 9th most turnovers in football, which means that Shedeur Sanders is likely to have a very long day.

Kansas City Chiefs DEF (45% owned) @ Tennessee Titans

While this is my third defense in this article, it is also the fifth defense of my model for this week. The Tennessee Titans are an excellent match-up for the Chiefs. The Chiefs are allowing the 5th fewest points per game, while the Titans are scoring the 2nd fewest points per game and allowing the 4th most sacks. My only concern with this match-up is that the Chiefs are no longer in playoff contention, so we could see them quietly shelve key players. If you can’t get the other two defenses, the Kansas City Chiefs are a solid consolation prize. The Chiefs might not be winning a Super Bowl this year, but that doesn’t mean they can’t win you a fantasy championship.
