Fantasy Football Week 16 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: Once Again Croskey-Merritting a Roster Spot

Week fifteen of the 2025 NFL season is done, and just like Patrick Mahomes’ playoff run, your season is over. Unless it is not, and you are still cooking in the playoffs. If so, here are a few guys to look at if you need to shore up your depth. If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, please know that there are many reasons why I may have overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad that I don’t even consider them. Perhaps it’s because your opinions are not trustworthy. After all, you are here. So, let us examine the top week five waiver wire players for your championship run…

Week Sixteen Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals (35% rostered)

Jacoby Brissett’s roster share rate decreased, yet he still finished as a top-12 fantasy quarterback for the week. Jacoby Brissett is the only quarterback this season to do this against the Texans. You are in the playoffs. Get Jacoby.

Week Sixteen Waiver Wire Running Backs
Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams (38% rostered)

At this point, Blake Corum should be rostered in every league. In week fifteen, Corum had 38% of the team’s rushing attempts, had 27% route participation, and had an even split with Kyren Williams in the red zone. Blake Corum had 11 carries for 71 yards and one touchdown in week fifteen. I want any running back on the number two scoring offense in football. Especially with Davanta Adams projected to miss the rest of the fantasy football playoffs.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Washington Commanders (46% rostered)

With Chris Rodriguez missing week fifteen, JCM had 18 carries for 96 yards and one touchdown. If Rodriguez misses week sixteen, JCM becomes more intriguing because he is no longer in a three-way timeshare and will see more red zone usage. JCM is not a priority add, but he is a nice insurance grab if you need one.

Week Sixteen Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears (22% rostered)

Since Rome Odunze has been out, Luther Burden leads the Bears in targets and receptions. In week fifteen, Burden had six catches for 84 yards. Burden is a nice combination of floor and ceiling, and I have no problem throwing him in a flex spot if I have to.

Adonai Mitchell, New York Jets (28% rostered)

Right now, Adonai Mitchell is the number one receiver on the New York Jets. In week fifteen, Mitchell had six catches for 58yards and one touchdown. If you need a lottery ticket that can explode in a match-up you are projected to lose, Mitchell is a nice play. Scary. Terrifying. But nice.

Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers (44% rostered)

The Bears got wrecked from the slot the last time these teams played two weeks ago. Christian Watson got hurt against the Broncos and might miss time. If Watson misses, Jayden Reed is a sneaky value play against a Bears defense that is very beatable, since Reed will be the most talented receiver on the Packers.

Week Sixteen Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins (31% rostered)

In week 16, Darren Waller plays the Cincinnati Bengals. The Cincinnati Bengals give up the most fantasy points to tight ends. You can do the math.
