2025 Fantasy Football Week 14 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: Elementary, My Dear Watson

Week thirteen of the 2025 NFL season is over, and the football is just getting worse. QB3 Marcus Mariota? WR3 Dontayvion Wicks? Every tight end ever? I’ll provide you with the best options available on the wire. If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, please know that there are many reasons why I may have overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad that I don’t even consider them. Perhaps it’s because your opinions are not trustworthy. After all, you are here. So, let us examine the top week five waiver wire players for your championship run…

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals (38% rostered)

What is wrong with you people? Since he has taken over as the starter, Jacoby Brissett is QB3 in overall points, QB5 in points per game, and has not finished lower than QB10 in any given week. The fact that he is still on the waiver wire is just silly. Even if you don’t need him, you should be grabbing him so nobody else can use him against you.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Running Backs
Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams (17% rostered)

In week thirteen, Blake Corum had seven carries for 81 yards and one touchdown on the back of a Kyren Williams injury. While all the reports right now are that Kyren Williams is fine, grab Blake Corum anyway. If Williams misses any time, Blake Corum is going to be one of the most valuable fantasy assets down the stretch due to how the Rams utilize their lead back.

Chris Rodriguez Jr, Washington Commanders (10% rostered)

Chris Rodriguez only saw 42% of the team’s snaps in week thirteen, but he had 33% of the team’s rush attempts and 27% of the team’s routes run at the position. More importantly, he had 67% of the team’s rushing attempts inside the 10-yard line. I’m not sure I want any part of the 3 headed monster that is the Washington Commanders rushing attack, but if I am going to grab one running back from this room, it is going to be the guy with the most red zone opportunities.

Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints (53% rostered)

In his first start as a lead back, Devin Neal was nice with 69 all-purpose yards. While it wasn’t exciting, he is still a lead running back with a guaranteed 15 minimum touches. If you can’t get the guys above, grab him and hope he falls into the end zone if you need him.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Wire Receivers
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (34% rostered)

Over the last three weeks, Christian Watson has averaged 14.1 ppg in half PPR. During that stretch, Watson is WR13. So the only question left is, why isn’t he on your roster?

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts (41% rostered)

More and more, it feels like Alec Pierce is the WR1 on the Indianapolis Colts. In week thirteen, he led the team in routes run, targets, and yards per route run with four catches for 78 yards and one touchdown. Pierce is a good football player who is matchup-dependent, and he should be rostered in every format.

Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints (1% rostered)

With Chris Olave getting hurt, Devaughn Vele took over as the WR1 for the Saints. In week thirteen, Vele had eight catches for 93 yards and one touchdown. Vele led the team in targets and in yards per route run. Vele is interesting because if Olave is out, Shough has to throw to somebody, and the early returns show that somebody is Devaughn Vele.

Jayden Higgins, Houston Texans (37% rostered)

In week thirteen, Jayden Higgins had five catches for 65 yards. His usage has been steadily increasing, and Higgins has the potential to be a breakout player down the stretch. I love him as a stash.

Adonai Mitchell, New York Jets (4% rostered)

Last week, I was talking about John Metchie II producing in fantasy two weeks in a row. Metchie then proceeded to drop everything thrown his way in week thirteen. So now we look at Adonai Mitchell, who also has an issue with drops. In week thirteen, Mitchell had eight catches for 102 yards and one touchdown. The positives for grabbing Mitchell is that he is the WR1 on the Jets. The downside to playing Mitchell is that he is the Jets’ WR1.

Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers (13% rostered)

Jalen Coker was one of the breakout players of week thirteen with four catches for 74 yards and one touchdown. The problem with Coker is that he is the WR2/WR3 on a team that doesn’t want to throw the ball. If the Carolina Panthers receiver is not named Tetairoa McMillan, I don’t want him on my roster.

Week Fourteen Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars (29% rostered)

If you need tight end help, Brenton Strange is a solid option. In week thirteen, Strange had three catches for 45 yards and one touchdown. Since returning from injury, Strange is second on the team in routes run, third in targets, and first in yards per route run. If you need a tight end, Strange is a solid option.
