2025 Fantasy Football Week 12 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: Le-get-te Xavier?

waiver wire

Week eleven of the 2025 NFL season, and the football gods are vengeful! Jaylen Warren? Ankle injury! Josh Jacobs? Knee injury? Aaron Rodgers? Ayahuasca relapse! (Also wrist) With everyone out, you need to figure out who will be IN your lineup. I’ll provide you with the best options available on the wire. If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, please know that there are many reasons why I may have overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad that I don’t even consider them. Perhaps it’s because your opinions are not trustworthy. After all, you are here. So, let us examine the top week five waiver wire players for your championship run…

Week Twelve Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals (20% rostered)

If you need quarterback help, you need Jacoby Brissett.  In week 11, Brissett had 452 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.  Since taking over as the starter, Brissett is putting up consistent QB1 numbers, averaging 21.9 points per game. His lowest fantasy total has been 19.4 ppg.  Brissett has a built-in floor and the weapons to give you boom weeks.

Week Twelve Waiver Wire Running Backs
Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars (24% rostered)

While Sean Tucker had the better week, Bhayshul Tuten is the guy I want if I need a running back. In week 11, Tuten had 74 rushing yards and one touchdown. This week, Tuten saw 32% of both rushing attempts and team snaps. Jacksonville loves to rush the football, and Tuten is getting usage. He should become even more viable down the stretch.

Sean Tucker, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (20% rostered)

Todd Bowles finally let Sean Tucker loose! In week 11, Tucker had 140 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, finishing as the RB1 for the week. The concern with grabbing Tucker now is that Bucky Irving is coming back soon, which means the best-case scenario is that Tucker takes over the Rachaad White third down back role. While Tucker should be the number two back on the Bucs, there is no guarantee this will happen. If you need a ceiling play for the rest of the season, grab Tucker and hope for the best. If you are looking for floor productions, might I recommend…

Devin Singletary, New York Giants (42% rostered)

In week 11, Devin Singletary had 47 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. Against the Packers, Singletary had 42% of the team rush attempts, 48% of the team snaps, and had 14 of 15 snaps in the red zone. Devin Singletary is a solid floor play at running back. Singletary looks to be the Giants’ goal-line back, so if he falls into the end zone, you feel good about him.

Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers (42% rostered)

Kenneth Gainwell had 105 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in week 11. The only reason Gainwell had this production was because Jaylen Warren left the game early. It looks like Warren will be back next week, so grabbing Gainwell is just chasing past production. Monitor Jaylen Warren’s health, and if he misses the game next week, grab Gainwell.

Emanuel Wilson, Green Bay Packers (9% rostered)

Everything I said about Kenneth Gainwell applies to Emanuel Wilson. His 49 all-purpose yards and one touchdown were only possible because Josh Jacobs was hurt. If you have Jacobs on your roster, grab him as insurance. Otherwise, wait and see.

Week Twelve Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (21% rostered)

There is only one wide receiver on the waiver wire that is a must-add, and his name is Christian Watson. With Tucker Kraft and Jayden Reed hurt, Watson is the only receiver left on the Packers with true game-breaking potential, as he showed in week 11 with 4 catches for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Over the last two weeks, Watson has led the Packers in routes run and yards per route run. If you need receiver help, you aren’t going to find a better option.

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears (11% rostered)

While Burden didn’t do much in week 11, we are starting to see signs of increased usage for the second-round rookie.  In week 10, Olamide Zaccheaus had 25 routes run and 3 drops.  In week 11, Zaccheaus only ran five routes, whereas Luther Burden had a season high of 22 routes run. If you need a wide receiver stash with breakout potential for the playoffs, Luther Burden is that guy.

Xavier Legette, Carolina Panthers (14% rostered)

I want Xavier Legette to be awesome. I just don’t know that he will be. Legette had 4 catches for 83 yards and 1 touchdown in week 11, but I’m not sure the Panthers pass enough to trust he can duplicate this performance. Outside of week 7 against the Jets, this is the only game this year where Legette had more than 31 receiving yards all season.

Tyrell Shavers, Buffalo Bills (0% rostered)

In week 11, Tyrell Shavers had four catches for 90 yards and one touchdown. This was a great game from a dude we will probably never hear from again.

Week Twelve Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (52% rostered)

Last week, I pointed out that Dalton Schultz had been a top ten tight end in three of the last four weeks. This week, Schultz will have been a top ten tight end in four of the last five weeks. Are you seeing a pattern? Grab Dalton Schultz.

Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears (49% rostered)

If you can’t get Dalton Schultz, grab Colston Loveland. In fact, for week 12, there might not be a better tight end option on the waiver wire. The Steelers are giving up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Grab the explosive playmaker while you still can. He won’t be available next week.
