2025 Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet: Smart, Alec

Week ten of the 2025 NFL season, and everyone is out! Garrett Wilson? Gone! CJ Stroud? More like CTE Stroud? Brian Daboll? Actually, that is one departure we can all cheer! With everyone out, you need to figure out who will be IN your lineup. I’ll provide you with the best options available on the wire. If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, please know that there are many reasons why I may have overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad that I don’t even consider them. Perhaps it’s because your opinions are not trustworthy. After all, you are here. So, let us examine the top week five waiver wire players for your championship run…

Week Eleven Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders (18% rostered)

The waiver wire is barren, so at this point in the season, you are just looking for guys who will minimize the damage to your starting lineup. In that vein, Marcus Mariota is who you want next week. In week eleven, Mariota is playing a Dolphins team that is allowing the 5th-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks. They are also giving up 19.5 fantasy points per game to the position. In week eleven, Mariota had 213 passing yards and two touchdowns, along with 22 rushing yards. In fact, Mariota has at least 20 rushing yards in all of his starts this year. Marcus Mariota is not going to win you your week, but he should at least.

Week Eleven Waiver Wire Running Backs
Emari Demarcado, Arizona Cardinals (31% rostered)

In week ten, Emari Demarcado had 104 all-purpose yards. While Bam Knight had 46% of the team’s snaps, Emari Demarcardo had 42% of the team’s snaps. This is two weeks in a row that Demarcado has had 40% of the team snaps at the position. It looks like Demarcado is out of the dog house, and considering how thin the waiver wire is right now, Demarcado is your only viable option for volume.

Chris Rodriguez Jr., Washington Commanders (10% rostered)

Chris Rodriguez Jr. keeps getting touches for the Commanders. In week ten, he had 16 rushing yards and one touchdown. Rodriguez also had 33% of the team’s snaps. Perhaps more importantly, over the last two weeks, Chris Rodriguez has been seeing 43% of the team’s snaps inside the 20, 55% of the team’s snaps inside the 10, and 57% of the team’s snaps inside the 5. It looks like Rodriguez is going to be the goal-line back for Washington, which means if you need a prayer at running back, you can put Rodriguez in your lineup and hope he falls into the end zone.

Week Eleven Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (20% rostered)

Last week, I told you Parker Washington should be your number one waiver priority at wide receiver. Washington then had a high-end week as a WR2, with three catches for 33 yards and one touchdown, plus a return touchdown. So let me repeat myself. Parker Washington should be the number one waiver priority of the week. You won’t get a third chance at him.

Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (38% rostered)

In week ten, Tez Johnson had four catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns. I assume Johnson is available because he was on bye last week, and people needed to scramble. Capitalize on their mistake. This week, Johnson was 2nd on the team in routes run. Get him now. If Parker Washington is unavailable, then Tez Johnson should be your target.

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts (30% rostered)

Alec Pierce is an exciting player to me. In week ten, Pierce had four catches for 84 yards and one touchdown. Full disclosure, I loved him coming out of college. Alec Pierce continues to be at the top of the team in routes run. What makes him so interesting to me is that Tyler Warren, Josh Down, and Michael Pittman all have roles with some overlap. Alec Pierce is the big play guy. It makes him more boom-or-bust, but with Jonathan Taylor dominating the NFL, it also means he is going to get great deep looks. The fact that he is only 30% rostered despite being WR35 on the season in PPG tells me that 70% of fantasy football players don’t know ball.

Week Eleven Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints (30% rostered)

With Rashid Shaheed now a Seahawk, Juwan Johnson is a fascinating guy to target at tight end. Juwan Johnson is TE7 on the season in total points and TE13 on the season in points per game. In week 10, Johson had four catches for 92 yards and one touchdown. More importantly, he was 3rd on the team in routes run and led the team in yards per route run. The Saints have to throw to someone, and rookie quarterbacks like to look at tight ends as a safety blanket. The usage should be there on a team that will likely be playing from behind a lot. Please give me the guy who was already second on the team in targets before they traded away their number two receiver.

Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (31% rostered)

Over the last four weeks, Dalton Schultz has finished as the TE4, TE7, and TE7. In that same span, Dalton Schultz is the TE9. (He did have one bad week, but such is the life of a tight end.)  More importantly, in those four weeks, Dalton Schultz leads the Texans in routes run, is second in targets, is third in targets per routes run, and third in yards per routes run. Dalton Schultz is a blob guy who is getting a ton of work and production out of the position. If you need a tight end, beggars can’t be choosers.
