running back sleeper wide receiver sleeper list dart

Week six of the 2024 NFL season, and you are starting to wonder why you even watch football. Puka Nacua? Emeka Embuka? Marvin Harrison? WHY AM I NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE NICE THINGS! Everyone is dying a hero’s death on the football field, but true champions don’t give up. They win their leagues on the waiver wire. I’ll provide you with the best options available. If I don’t mention someone you think I should be talking about, please know that there are many reasons why I may have overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad that I don’t even consider them. Perhaps it’s because your opinions are not trustworthy. After all, you are here. So, let us examine the top week five waiver wire players for your championship run…

Week Seven Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Jaxson Dart, New York Giants (37% rostered)

Do you believe in miracles? Because I am not sure Jesus turning water into wine was a bigger miracle than Jaxson Dart beating the Eagles. And let’s be real. If you are still looking for a quarterback on the waiver wire, then you are shopping for miracles. In week six, Jaxson Dart had 195 yards passing and one touchdown. He also had 58 yards rushing with another touchdown, and this is what makes him the only quarterback worth grabbing on the waiver wire. His rushing upside should provide a built-in floor for fantasy, while also giving you some upside based on matchups. It isn’t a perfect solution at quarterback, but it is the best one you are going to find.

Week Seven Waiver Wire Running Backs
Kimani Vidal, Los Angeles Chargers (33% rostered)

Last week on the waiver wire report, we asked the age-old question — Who would you rather have? Hassan Haskins or Kimani Vidal. This week, Kimani Vidal answered that question with authority, outpacing Christian McCaffery, Ashton Jeanty, and Derrick Henry to finish as the RB7 on the week. Kimani Vidal appears to be the lead back in a Greg Roman offense, which means he should be the number one waiver priority of the week.

Zonovan “Bam” Knight, Arizona Cardinals (54% rostered)

If you can’t get Vidal and need a running back, Bam Knight is the consolation prize. In week six, Knight had 54 all-purpose yards and one touchdown. More importantly, he had a 51% snap share. The question you have to ask yourself before putting a claim in for Knight is if he will continue to see an increased workload, or if Emeri Demercado will find himself out of the doghouse for his week five fumble.

Week Seven Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Kendrick Bourne, San Francisco 49ers (24% rostered)

Over the last two weeks, Kendrick Bourne has had 15 catches for 284 yards. Bourne had his second 142-yard game in a row. With every player on the 49ers suffering some degree of injury, Kendrick Bourne is making the most of his opportunities. I am all about riding the hot hand in fantasy football, and in the words of Mugatu, he is so hot right now!

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants (47% rostered)

Wan’Dale and Bourne are a coin flip for me as to which is the most significant priority add-on waivers. Wan’Dale Robinson has a much cleaner path to production. He is the clear number one on his offense, and this week had six catches for 84 yards and one touchdown. My biggest concern is that I do not believe the Giants’ offense can produce sustained success, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be on your roster. The odds are he will finish as a top 36 receiver in fantasy due to volume alone, making him worth rostering.

Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0% rostered)

While it wasn’t quite an MVP performance, Tez Johnson had a nice game against the 49ers with four catches for 64 yards and one touchdown. More importantly, Tez Johnson might be the last man standing in the Bucs’ wide receiver room, with Emeka Egbuka getting hurt in this game. Availability is one of the most important aspects of football, and Baker Mayfield is baking this season. If Egbuka is going to miss multiple weeks, Tez Johnson becomes one of the most important receiver adds of the week.

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (48% rostered)

With the emergence of Tyler Warren and the resurgence of Michael Pittman, Josh Downs has been the odd man out. That doesn’t change the fact that he is a very good receiver. In week six, Downs had six catches for 42 yards and one touchdown. Downs should be on the back of the bench in almost all formats. He won’t do it consistently because of all the weapons on the Colt, but he will have his moments.

Week Seven Waiver Wire Tight Ends
Harold Fannin Jr, Cleveland Browns (35% rostered)

With David Njoku leaving Sunday’s game with a knee injury, Harold Fannin is probably the most significant priority you will find at tight end. In week six, he had seven catches for 81 yards. Through two weeks, Dillon Gabriel has been targeting tight ends a lot. annin has a high floor and is athletic enough to get the occasional touchdown. Get him.
