The Baltimore Ravens’ draft was notable for three reasons. First, they got the best safety in the draft to fall into their lap, in traditional Ravens fashion. Second, they drafted Mike Green, a linebacker with several sexual assault allegations in his past, which sucks. The third notable thing that happened was taking Tyler Loop in the sixth round, indicating that Justin Tucker’s time with the Ravens is finally likely ending. They took just one player at a fantasy-relevant position, wide receiver LaJohntay Wester, out of Colorado.

Round 6, Pick 203: LaJohntay Wester, Wide Receiver, Colorado (5’10”, 163 lbs)
TALENT:
Wester is a slippery, shifty little slot receiver who was incredibly electric at Colorado. He was frequently the beneficiary of Shedeur Sanders’ improvisational skills, as he simply had more energy than the players defending him, allowing him to keep moving around until the defender cried uncle. He has the requisite speed to get behind the defense to be a deep threat, but I must admit with a deep sigh that Wester has a strong case of 2025 Wide Receiver Disease (the guy has never seen a weight room).
That being said, he’s a no-nonsense runner when he gets the ball, and he can get north-south for a lot of yards with great efficacy. His best skills, and the ones that will play in the NFL, will have him returning punts.

Depth Chart:
WR1 Zay Flowers
WR2 DeAndre Hopkins
WR3 Rashod Bateman
WR4 Devontez Walker
WR5 Tylan Wallace
WR6 LaJohntay Wester
Wester is deep in this depth chart, and with good reason. The Ravens didn’t draft him to be a core part of their wide receiver room. He is the replacement for Devin Duvernay, who was their designated punt and kick returner for many years before leaving for Jacksonville before the 2024 season. He may beat out Tylan Wallace and Devontez Walker to be the WR4, but the fourth wide receiver for a run-first team who heavily targets the tight end isn’t something you get excited about.
2025 FANTASY FOOTBALL OUTLOOK:
Wester has zero value in any depth of fantasy football league. Even if the Ravens pass the ball more, the targets aren’t going his way.
