Week 15 Start or Sit Adrian Peterson, Kenyan Drake, or Josh Adams

Should I Start or Sit Adrian Peterson?

Peterson rewarded those who wisely chose this dusty old wooden bowl that contains the secret to immortality. He is currently the RB15 in total points scored (HPPR), and he’s facing a team that gave up the biggest fantasy day to a running back, last week. So deciding to start or sit Adrian Peterson should be an easy decision, right? Well, the Redskins have complicated things. They have given up. That means games get away from the Redskins, which hurts AP’s usage. Take away his freak 90-yard run, and AP has 59 total rushing yards in his last THREE games. He hasn’t topped 68 rushing yards since October. Jacksonville has its share of problems, but it’s run defense has stayed strong, and is currently in the top 1/3 of the league in terms of holding RBs to bad fantasy days. Adrian Peterson is a sit, as there are at least 36 guys I’d start over him.

Should I Start or Sit Kenyan Drake?

Drake capped the most spectacular end-of-game play of the decade, last week. Fantasy owners considering whether to start or sit Kenyan Drake have to remember that Drake lives or dies by the big play. He doesn’t get the volume to ensure a decent floor, having not had double-digit rushes since October 25th. If he doesn’t break off a long one, he will probably tank your fantasy week. Guess what? He plays the super-tight Minnesota Vikings’ run defense, the one thing that hasn’t fallen apart on that team. If you’re playing against a monster team and need to get a huge score, you can put in Drake. But for everyone else, Drake is a sit. He’s just not worth the risk. Also, he has a shoulder injury, I didn’t even mention that, increasing the risk of him having a bad day.

Should I Start or Sit Josh Adams?

Those who picked up Adams a month ago thought they had the key to their playoff run. He started off with two straight weeks with a score and even had 20+ touches in back to back games. But those games are gone. Adams hasn’t caught a single pass since Sproles returned two weeks ago, limiting his floor. He had only 7 carries last week, as Philadelphia fell behind and needed to pass to catch up. That’s most likely going to happen again, as the Eagles face the Rams’ potent offense. Philadelphia’s offense in general is shaky, which should help you decide whether to start or sit Josh Adams. He’s a definite sit. Find someone else.

If you absolutely have to choose one of these guys over the others, here’s how I rank them:

  1. Kenyan Drake
  2. Adrian Peterson
  3. Josh Adams
