Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire RBs (AKA Should I Pick up Rashad Penny?)

Rashaad Penny Seattle Seahawks Waiver Wire Running Back

Week 11 Waiver Wire: QB  RB  WR  TE

Week 10 is almost behind us and with it your belief that the running back you drafted will ever play football again. Some of you thought it was safe to give up on Derrick Henry. And you were wrong. Some of you thought age would eventually catch up to Frank Gore. And you were wrong. Some of you thought fantasy football could be fun. And oh boy were you wrong. Lucky for you, there are waiver wire running back options available to save you from yourself. If I don’t mention someone whom you think I should be talking about, just know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad I don’t even consider them.  Maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let us examine what our best week 11 waiver wire RBs are.

Week 11 Waiver Wire RBs

Should I Pick up Derrick Henry?Owned in 50% of leagues –Derrick Henry has 4 touchdowns over his last three games. This might make you think that Derrick Henry is finally worth rostering.  However, he was also only on the field 25% of the time against New England. Dion Lewis has emerged as the lead back in Tennessee and Derrick Henry has been relegated to a change-of-pace/goal line back. Should I pick up Derrick Henry? Depends: It is hard to trust Derrick Henry or any shares of the Tennessee offense, but this might be one of the best week 11 waiver wire RBs available

Should I Pick up Rashaad Penny?Owned in 14% of leagues – In week ten, Rashaad Penny took advantage of the absence of Chris Carson. Rushing for 108 yards and 1 touchdown, Rashaad Penny displayed the skills that made him a first-round draft pick. The concern with him is that he is in a timeshare with Mike Davis and Chris Carson, so it will be hard to determine how valuable he will be down the stretch. So long as Chris Carson remains injured, Penny should only have to compete with Mike Davis, which isn’t really a contest for the talented rookie. If you are looking for an  answer to, “should I pick up Rashad Penny?” consider him an upside play for the second half of the season, Rashaad Penny is a great flyer among week 11 waiver wire RBs.

Should I Pick up Elijah McGuire?Owned in 21% of leagues – For the second week in a row, Elijah McGuire out-snapped Isaiah Crowell. And for the second week in a row, McGuire turned in a lackluster performance. Last week, I said McGuire was a great addition for the second half of the season and I stand by that statement. He looks to be the lead back for the Jets. While the New York Jets offense leaves a lot to be desired, he is still going to see more and more opportunities down the stretch. Since he will be on bye next week, the answer to the question, “should I pick up Elijah McGuire?” is “nope.”

ABSURDITY CHECK AKA Other notable running backs to monitor

Should I Pick up like DavisOwned in 49% of leagues – It took Mike Davis twice the amount of opportunities to equal Rashaad Penny’s production. So should I pick up Mike Davis. Hahaha, never. Ever.

Ever.
