Week 7 Waiver Wire WRs

Week 6 is almost behind us and some of you are starting to appreciate that this is a passing league. Yet you keep passing on all the waiver wire value at wide receiver. Some of you thought Julio Jones had to score a touchdown eventually. And you were wrong. Some of you thought Will Fuller would keep scoring touchdowns forever. And you were wrong. Some of you thought fantasy football could be fun. And oh boy were you wrong. Lucky for you, there are week 7 waiver wire WRs available to save you from yourself. If I don’t mention someone whom you think I should be talking about, just know there are many reasons why I overlooked them. Maybe they are owned in most leagues. Maybe they are so bad I don’t even consider them. Maybe it’s because your opinions cannot be trusted. After all, you are here. So let us examine what our best week 7 waiver WRs are.

Chris GodwinOwned in 42% of leagues – In week six, Chris Godwin had 6 catches for 56 yards and 1 touchdown. In five games, Godwin has four touchdowns. Frankly, I don’t know how many more ways I can tell you that Chris Godwin should be owned in all formats. So I’m just going to spend this time praying that you finally start listening to me so I can focus on another player.

Taylor GabrielOwned in 6% of leagues –Last week, I pointed out that Taylor Gabriel is getting a lot of opportunities in a pass-heavy offense. In week six, he made the most of those opportunities, with 5 catches for 110 yards. With back-to-back 100 yard games and a lot of targets, Taylor Gabriel is a must-own.

Chester RogersOwned in 15% of leagues – Chester Rogers had a solid week six performance, with 4 catches for 55 yards and 1 touchdown.  However, the most interesting thing about Chester Rogers is that he has 32 targets over the last 3 games. Any receiver that averages 10 targets a game from Andrew Luck is a receiver that should be on your radar. If you need a boost at wide receiver, Chester Rogers is a solid option.

Other notable wide receivers to monitor

Tyrell WilliamsOwned in 6% of leagues  (Has shown flashes, but too inconsistent)

David MooreOwned in 3% of leagues (Three touchdowns, but not targeted enough)

Geronimo AllisonOwned in 48% of leagues (Should have already been owned, as I’ve said many times)
