Fantasy Football: Week Eight Waiver Wire Wide Receiver aka Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wide Receivers

The wonderful thing about the waiver wire wide receiver game is that it always feels like there are options available.  While you won’t always find the high ceiling players this late in the season, there are plenty of high floor options available that can help shore up your teams depth.  So let’s take a look at who the best waiver wire wide receiver options for week eight are.

Kenny Stills  – Owned in 21% of leagues – In the two weeks that DeVante Parker has been out with an ankle injury, Kenny Stills has had 10 catches for 134 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Ankle injuries can take a while to recover from and Kenny Stills appears to be taking advantage of his opportunities.  Make sure to monitor Parker’s practice schedule closely on Tuesday, as he will be testing his injury.  If he misses practice or has any setbacks, Kenny Stills is definitely worth adding.

Robert WoodsOwned in 37% of leagues – Last week, I told you Woods was a legitimate WR3, but since he is still available on most waiver wires, I’m guessing you didn’t believe me. Frankly, I don’t blame you.  I hardly believe it.  But once again, he had 7 targets, 5 catches and 59 yards.  He is getting looks in an offense that likes to throw the football around.  While I don’t know that you should burn your waiver priority on him, you should definitely add him to your roster if he clears waivers.  If you need wide receiver help, you should definitely be targeting him.

Robby AndersonOwned in 19% of leagues – Last week, I mentioned Jermaine Kearse was the number one receiver on the New York Jets.  This week, I’d like to talk about their number two man, Robby Anderson.  In week seven, he had 3 catches for 35 yards and 1 touchdown.  Not amazing numbers, but he is a young guy who has some upside.  I don’t know that he is worth burning your waiver priority on, but he is someone you should be monitoring.  He is a guy who could blow up later in the season.
