Waiver Wire Wide Receiver Week Four: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers aka Ready Receiver Relief

Waiver Wire Wide Receiver

We are three weeks into the football season and you still don’t know which wide receiver to put in your lineup.  Stefon Diggs helped many teams keep a record number of points on their bench, all for fear of a Case Keenum.  The waiver wire wide receiver options for week four seem to be providing us more questions than answers.  So let’s take a look at who the best waiver wire wide receiver options for week four are.

Marqise LeeOwned in 47% of leagues – Last week, I told you to pick up Allen Hurns. If you listened to me, which you should always be doing, you were rewarded with a touchdown.  This week, I want to look at the other half of the Jacksonville Jaguars not-so-dynamic receiving duo. On the season, Marqise Lee is in the top 20 in targets at the wide receiver position.  The good news is he seems to be emerging as Blake Bortles favorite target.  The bad news is it is still Blake Bortles throwing him the ball.  Right now, there is no receiver who is getting more opportunities on the waiver wire than Marqise Lee.

Mohamed SanuOwned in 32% of leagues – Mohamed Sanu is historically underrated at the wide receiver position, so why should this year be any different. Through three weeks into the 2017 NFL season, he has been targeted at least six times every game.  He is the number two receiver in a very pass-friendly Atlanta offense and is in the top 30 for targets among wide receivers.  While he won’t produce WR1 numbers, Mohamed Sanu is a great high floor guy to fill out your bench with bye weeks coming up.

Devin FunchessOwned in 20% of leagues – With Greg Olsen getting hurt in week two, and Kelvin Benjamin hurting his knee in week three, Devin Funchess might soon be the only receiver left in Carolina.  After Benjamin went down, Funchess found himself the recipient of ten targets.  This should make Funchess a very interesting lottery pick, especially if Benjamin misses multiple games.
