Fantasy Football: Week Twelve Waiver Wire Wide Receivers aka Wasted Wishes With Hopes Of Winning

Normally, I think finding wide receivers on the waiver wire is the easiest void to fill on a fantasy roster.  Unfortunately, we are at that point in the season where even this position is thinning out.  There are not a lot of options to choose from, but there are some choices that are worthwhile.  So let’s take a look at the waiver wire wide receiver options in week twelve.

Kenny StillsOwned in 38% of leagues – The interesting thing about Kenny Stills is that he seems to be at his best when Matt Moore is the one throwing him the football.  The problem with picking up Kenny Stills on the waiver wire is that you are hoping Matt Moore is throwing him the football.  Hoping Matt Moore plays is like actively rooting against your fantasy football team.  Don’t use your waiver on Kenny Stills.

Danny AmendolaOwned in 50% of leagues – First, the injury to Julian Edelman was supposed to help Danny Amendola be relevant in fantasy football.  Now the injury to Chris Hogan is supposed to make Danny Amendola relevant.  At a certain point, shouldn’t we just accept that Danny Amendola will never be fantasy football relevant.  If he were going to be good he would already have been good.  He’s had Tom Brady for years.  I just don’t trust him and wouldn’t use my waiver on him.

Corey Coleman – Owned in 32% of leagues – It is a sad state of affairs when the best option you have for a waiver wire wide receiver is a player on the Cleveland Browns.  Don’t let his team deter you.  Corey Coleman should be the top wide receiver target on the waiver wire this week.  In his first game back from injury, he was targeted 11 times.  Even DeShone Kizer is going to complete a pass when he has that many attempts.  And with how bad Cleveland is, Coleman’s target share shouldn’t go down, because they will be constantly playing from behind.  Corey Coleman is a very savvy waiver wire target this week.
