Fantasy Football: Week Nine Quarterback Sleepers – Stanton & Deliver

It’s week nine and your fantasy football roster is in shambles. Maybe you went after Aaron Rodgers, maybe you were streaming and the Byenado Part II: Byepocalypse has you out of options. Maybe you got Deshaun Watson, in which case, thanks for the click, but go away, this isn’t for you. Below are three streaming options available to you in at least half of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues for week nine. The third guy is an extreme deep dive, available in 98% of Yahoo! leagues. Pinch your nose and dive right in if you have to start him, though.

Jared Goff @ New York Giants (55% owned)
Goff doesn’t qualify for this list, but only barely. This week is rough, so I’m stretching the definition of half of leagues. He’s owned in 55% of Yahoo! leagues, so it’s worth checking to see if my Marginal Start of the Week is out there. That’s right, I lied to you. Let this be a lesson that life is pain and to not trust anyone. Jaime Escalante isn’t the only one who can dole out life lessons while teaching you things.

Jacoby Brissett @ Houston (13% owned)
Brissett isn’t a huge play this week, but should provide a decent floor if he keeps his head on straight. The Texans are middle-of-the-pack against quarterbacks, but Russell Wilson showed last week a running QB can give them fits. Brissett found a new favorite target last week with Jack Doyle, and that should continue to pay dividends. The Texans have given up multiple touchdowns to QBs in four-of-five games (only Kevin Hogan didn’t make it).

Drew Stanton at San Francisco (2% owned)
They say a picture’s worth a thousand words. Here is a picture of some words. Specifically, it’s the 49ers week one defensive depth chart. Red scratches mean they’re on IR, cut, traded or already declared out for week nine. Aaron Lynch and Reuben Foster are both truly questionable, as well.

Even with Drew Stanton at the helm, it’s going to be a bloodbath in San Francisco. Larry Fitzgerald is going to go for 12/150/2 against this defense, which means he’ll do the heavy lifting for Drew Stanton.
