Fantasy Football: Week Nine Waiver Wire Wide Receivers aka Into the Great Wide Receiver Open

Week nine has some very exciting options if you are in the market for a waiver wire wide receiver.  Last week, I said that you won’t always find high ceiling players this late in the season off the waiver wire, and this week set out to prove me wrong.  So let’s take a look at who the best waiver wire wide receiver options for week nine are.

JuJu Smith-Schuster  – Owned in 49% of leagues – I honestly don’t know why Smith-Schuster was so concerned with getting his stolen bike back.  When you can run like that, who needs a bike?  The storyline in week eight was Martavis Bryant complaining he wasn’t getting the ball enough.  After catching 7 passes for 193 yards and 1 touchdown, JuJu Smith-Schuster made everyone wonder why anyone would ever throw the ball to Bryant again.  If he is available in your league, he is a must add.  He is the number one waiver target for week nine. (Zeke news changes everything)

Robby AndersonOwned in 28% of leagues – Last week, I mentioned that Robby Anderson is someone you should be monitoring.  This week, he is someone you should be adding.  Anderson has been targeted five or more times in seven of his eight games played this season.  He is also 21st in wide receiver targets.  After having 6 catches for 104 yards and 1 touchdown in week eight, you are going to need to add him now if you want any chance of rostering him.

Paul RichardsonOwned in 30% of leagues – Paul Richardson had one of the best wide receiver games of week eight.  Catching 6 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns, he definitely got my attention.  However, he is the third or fourth option on his team.  The problem with Richardson is his usage has been inconsistent week to week.  Some weeks, he is targeted a lot.  Other weeks, it is like he doesn’t even exist.  And he doesn’t exist on my fantasy radar, because I don’t trust him to duplicate his week eight performance.
