Fantasy Football: Week Seven Wide Receiver Sleepers – Getting Woods

If you’re a dedicated Football Absurdity reader, you already know the drill with our weekly sleepers piece. Every week, you need help. We’re here to provide it. Whether your WRs are hurt, underperforming or on a bye, we have your back. Below are three wide receivers available in 50% or more of Yahoo! leagues. For you deep league masochists, the third player is on the wire in at least 90% of fantasy football leagues.

Marqise Lee at Indianapolis (42% owned)
A matchup so nice I wrote about it twice. The skinny: Marqise Lee leads the team in targets by a wide margin. Despite being banged up, he should still be a go Sunday. If he goes, he gets a matchup against a pathetic Colts defense that’s allowed at least sixty yards to five different wide receivers in the last two weeks. He’s also a good bet to finally get a touchdown this week.

Robert Woods versus Arizona (30% owned)
Robert Woods moved out to LA to escape Sammy Watkins… shortly before Sammy strolled up behind him, clapped his hand on his shoulder and exclaimed, “hey buddy!” Woods still successfully threw the Watkins yoke off in Los Angeles and is their #1 receiver. He had fewer than five targets once this season and was eighteenth in targets heading into Thursday Night Football. Waleed put it best: he is a legitimate WR3, but nobody realizes it because his name is Robert Woods.

Ricardo Louis versus Tennessee (3% owned)
Do me a favor and close your eyes. Let’s forget for a second that Ricardo Louis is on the Browns. And let’s try to ignore that the Browns shift quarterbacks mid-dropback at least once a game. Please also forget that his team is 0-6 and quickly circling the drain. Ignored all that yet? Okay, now open them. Now look at his targets over the last three games (24) and catches (13). Before his iffy matchup last week, he had 64 and 71 yards. All he’s missing is the score, and he would be a top waiver wire pickup. He’ll get that this week against the Titans, who yielded six touchdowns to WRs over the last three games.
