Quarterback Sleeper List Fantasy Football Week 12: Bounce Back Baker

Baker Mayfield cut list start or sit quarterback sleeper afc wild card AFC Divisional Round Cleveland Browns

It’s the week of Thanksgiving and I am fussy about the Thursday Night game getting canceled because the Ravens just love getting coronavirus. They love it so much, they should call it corvid-19! Ha! Anyway, here is the week 12 quarterback sleeper list. To make this list, a player must be available in at least 50% of leagues. One guy available in at least 90% of leagues makes up the deep quarterback sleeper.

Quarterback Sleeper #1: Derek Carr at Atlanta (46% rostered)

Carr lit up the Chiefs last week, throwing three touchdowns and totaling over 280 yards. He has at least two touchdowns now in seven-of-ten games this season. He gets the Falcons this week, who just let opposing quarterbacks do whatever they want against them. Taysom Hill, who isn’t even a real quarterback, broke them in half last week. Carr, with Darren Waller balling out and Nelson Agholor rounding into shape, should have no problem with Atlanta.

Quarterback Sleeper #2: Baker Mayfield at Jacksonville (31% rostered)

Baker has had a rough four weeks. The Browns played in legitimate monsoon conditions in three out of the four weeks, and he had a bye thrown in there. As such, Baker hasn’t thrown a touchdown since his five-TD effort six days before Halloween. The weather in Jacksonville is a light wind and some rain, so the conditions aren’t ideal, but they’re better than Cleveland. Luckily, Baker gets to take on a Jaguars team that allows the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Deep Quarterback Sleeper: Nobody

If Teddy Bridgewater doesn’t play, this should be P.J. Walker at Minnesota. Unfortunately, we have a massive pile of suck under 10% rostership this week. Nick Foles or Mitchell Trubisky or Tyler Bray at quarterback for the Bears at Green Bay? No thanks. Sam Darnold or Joe Flacco against a hot Miami defense? Yuck. Mike Glennon, in general? Against Cleveland? Ick. Just save yourself the trouble and call it a season if you’re dealing with this mess and muck.
