Daily Fantasy Football FanDuel Value Plays: Week 11

dumpster dive daily fantasy football running back sleepers

We’re over halfway through the fantasy football season, and you’re tired of looking at your redraft fantasy football league. That’s fine, and that’s understandable. You’re 3-7 because of injuries, COVID chicanery coaches not using players the way you think they should. No matter, that’s why we have daily fantasy sports. Here are some daily fantasy football (FanDuel) options to help you fit a bunch of stars into your lineup. Here are some bargain-basement value plays for week 11.

Daily Fantasy Football (FanDuel) Value QB (sub-$7k):
Alex Smith versus Cincinnati ($6,600)

I never thought we would get back to this point. Literally, I never thought Alex Smith would touch an NFL field ever again. But, the results in his first two starts are undeniable. He’s thrown just one touchdown, but he has 715 yards in the last two weeks, throwing the ball 87 times in the last two games. Those mark the thirteenth and fourteenth times in his NFL career that he’s passed 300 yards, and the first time in his career that he’s passed for 300+ yards in back-to-back games.

The Bengals are on the docket for the Football Team this week, and they’ve yielded multiple QB touchdowns in each of the last eight games. Tyrod Taylor is the only QB that doesn’t have two scores against them, and I’ll take a bet that Alex Smith doesn’t make himself the second guy.

Other Options: Tua Tagovailoa @DEN ($6.7k), Andy Dalton @MIN ($6.9k)
Daily Fantasy Football (FanDuel) Value RB (sub-$5k):
Benny Snell Jr at Jacksonville ($4,900)

This isn’t the week to pay down at running back. There isn’t a lot of good deep options. That having been said, I can’t punt on this position.

Something is going on with James Conner. He had 12.6 or more HPPR points in six-straight games, then out of nowhere, he has 8.8 points combined in the last two weeks. His touches dropped, but not enough to account for this precipitous drop in production. My uneducated guess is that Conner is dealing with some sort of injury. I think that the Steelers turn more to backup Benny Snell this weekend, and doing that against the Jaguars is a sign of more fantasy production to come. The Jags allow the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs. Duos have one for both guys getting at least 7 fantasy points in three of the last four games.

Other Options: Latavius Murray v ATL ($5k), Tony Pollard @MIN ($4.8k)
Daily Fantasy Football (FanDuel) Value WR (sub-$5k):
Cam Sims versus Cincinnati ($5,000)

I guess I am leaning into Washington Football Team this week? Well, that certainly isn’t a position that I want to find myself in. Oh well. I documented above how Alex Smith has opened up the passing game for the Football Team, spinning the ball around to multiple guys. Cam Sims is one of those guys, and he has 7 catches for 164 in the last two contests. This week, WFT gets Cincinnati, who has allowed six WR touchdowns in the last two games, while allowing three wide receivers at least 75 receiving yards.

Other Options: Laviska Shenault v PIT ($5k), Jalen Guyton v NYJ ($4.9k), Jakeem Grant @DEN ($4.6k)
Daily Fantasy Football (FanDuel) Value TE (sub-$5k)
Dalton Schultz at Minnesota ($5,000)

After Dak Prescott went down, the Cowboys’ QB room went all kinds of topsy-turvy. It was Andy Dalton, it was Ben DiNucci, it was Garrett Gilbert. The Cowboys thought Dalton was the worst-case scenario and boy were they wrong. Schultz fell by the wayside, but he bounces back this week. He has the indicators of a breakout coming (29 targets in his last four games), and has started to bounce back to what he was doing AD (Anno Dakoni, during Dak’s reign). Schultz has ten catches for 101 yards over the last two games. He provides a great floor and has a good shot at punching in a touchdown.

[UPDATE: FORGET ALL THIS IT’S TAYSOM HILL TIME BABY! ($4,500)

Other Options: Kyle Rudolph @DAL ($4.5k), Mo Alie-Cox v GB ($4.9k)
