Week 13 Defense Fantasy Football Streamers – The Jets Keep Rolling

week 13 defense

If you read my article on playing the waiver wire game, you know that it is an essential part of winning your fantasy football league.  If you haven’t read it, what are you waiting for?  I just told you it’s an essential part of winning your fantasy football league!  Why do you hate winning?  One of the best ways to maximize your weekly scoring is to stream defenses.  This strategy is simple – we aren’t as concerned about good defenses, so much as finding defenses that are playing terrible offenses.  Bad offenses are more likely to keep playing bad because if they knew how to be good, they would already be good.  Because of this flawless logic, I will be pointing out the best streaming options on a weekly basis. And now, on to the week 13 defense streamers!

Week 13 Defense Streamer:
New York Jets (43% owned) @ Cincinnati

Over the last three weeks, the New York Jets defense has 13 sacks, 5 turnovers, and 2 defensive touchdowns.  And this week, they get to play a Cincinnati Bengals team that has given up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.  Frankly, it is insane that the Jets are still available in a majority of leagues, considering they have been a top-five fantasy defense over the past month.

Week 13 Defense Streamer:
Green Bay (30% owned) @ New York Giants

The Green Bay Packers were embarrassed on Sunday Night Football last week.  And when a team gets embarrassed like the Packers did, nothing will make things better than playing an embarrassment of a football team.  Cue the Giants of New York, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.  More importantly, Mike Pettine is great at scheming against young quarterbacks and making them poop themselves on the field.  The Green Bay Packers are a top-tier defense for week thirteen.

Week 13 Defense Streamer:
Los Angeles Chargers (37% owned) @ Denver

If you can’t get the Jets or the Packers, the Los Angeles Chargers are not a bad consolation prize.  The Broncos have given up the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.  Meanwhile, the Chargers are coming off a bye and with the return of Adrian Phillips and Derwin James looming, their defense looks like it has the potential to look more like it did in 2018 than the disappointing version we’ve gotten this year.
