NFL Draft: Green Bay Packers Fantasy Football Wishlist

2018’s Best Green Bay Packers Fantasy Football Player: Aaron Jones, Running Back
2018’s Biggest Green Bay Packers Fantasy Football Disappointment: Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback
2019 Green Bay Packers Fantasy Football Draft Wishlist: …Nothing?!

This is a weird one to try to sort out, as there’s no shortage of Green Bay Packers fantasy football talent on the field. It starts with Aaron Rodgers, who is protected by a top-ten Pro Football Focus offensive line. They have a one-two punch at running back with Aaron Jones & Jamaal Williams (though we wish it would be more of a one-one punch with Jones). The Pack could stand pat with their WR corps, as Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown, J’Mon Moore, and Jake Kumerow are all under contract for 2019. At tight end, they have Jimmy Graham on loan from the AARP flag football team. There’s plenty of Green Bay Packers fantasy football potential there for Rodgers to work with.

There isn’t much of a position of need for the Green Bay Packers in terms of fantasy football, but they will likely get depth at running back and tight end. Tight end is the closest to a position of need for the Packers in 2019, but even if they went that route, rookie tight ends are notoriously useless in fantasy football. That makes this article a punt, and it is only going up because it would be really weird to write 31 articles when I’m conceivably doing a tour of the league.

The simple fact of the matter is that Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers already have plenty of talented weaponry at their disposal, and would be better served shoring up the ranks behind their top-flight starters. The Packers, with a healthy Rodgers and a new offensive philosophy, should bounce back this season. They have no obvious needs that would help any fantasy football owners in 2019.

And I say that as someone who repeatedly and vociferously called Jimmy Graham washed before last season.
