Fantasy Football Week 10 Defense

If you read my article on playing the waiver wire game, you know that it is an essential part of winning your fantasy football league. If you haven’t read it, what are you waiting for? I just told you it’s an essential part of winning your fantasy football league! Why do you hate winning?

One of the best ways to maximize your weekly scoring is to stream defenses. This strategy is simple – we aren’t as concerned about good defenses, so much as finding defenses that are playing terrible offenses. Bad offenses are more likely to keep playing bad because if they knew how to be good, they would already be good. Because of this flawless logic, I will be pointing out the best streaming options on a weekly basis.

Week 10 Defense Los Angeles Chargers DEF (49% owned)

Going into this season, there were a lot of high expectations for the Los Angeles Chargers defense.  The injury to Joey Bosa has kept this defense from being more than average.  But there is one surefire way to give your defense a boost.  Have them play the Oakland Raiders.  This season, the Oakland Raiders have given up the 8th most fantasy points to opposing defenses. If they are available, they should be one of your top week 10 defense options for week ten.

Week 10 Defense Washington DEF (47% owned)

On the year, Washington has been a consistently good defense.  While Washington had an abysmal week nine against the Atlanta Falcons, in week 10 they are facing a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that has given up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing defenses. If you are scouring the waiver wire for suitable streaming options, Washington is a very solid week 10 defense option.

ABSURDITY CHECK A.K.A. Always Bet On Buffalo…….’s opponent

Week 10 Defense New York Jets DEF (39% owned)

Last week, I warned that the New York Jets were slumping.  This week, the New York Jets are about to hit a slumpbuster.  In week ten, the Jets face a Buffalo Bills team that has given up the most fantasy points to opposing defenses.  Nathan Peterman has been so bad at quarterback that E.J. Manuel is taking shots at him.   And E.J. Manuel knows what bad quarterback play looks like in Buffalo.  After all, he started at quarterback for Buffalo.  What I’m saying is that the New York Jets are a must-start in week ten.
