2018 Fantasy Football Alvin Kamara Player Profile

Alvin Kamara Player Profile NFC Divisional Round Expert

If you want a running back who dares to do the impossible, then this fantasy football Alvin Kamara player profile is for you. As we gear up to the start of the NFL season, Football Absurdity is going to bring you a comprehensive breakdown of every notable player that will be available in fantasy football drafts.  When you don’t see us talking about Christine Michael or Mike Davis, don’t get mad at us for neglecting your favorite sleeper.  Get mad at yourself for having bad taste in football players.  We are only focusing on the top-rated running backs in standard scoring and points per game leagues.

With my player profiles, I’ve only decided to go back to look at their fantasy scoring for three years.  I could show you lists from earlier, but most of the guys at the top are no longer in the league anymore.  I’ve also added a chart for their usage over that time span.  We will try to determine, based on those two factors, where the best running back value lies.

Overview: I don’t know how much clearer I have to make my love of Alvin Kamara to you.  Alvin Kamara was a top-five fantasy running back last season.  All while was sitting on the sideline for the first quarter of the season to make way for the ghost of Adrian Peterson.  Will he score at the same rate he did last season? Probably not, but who cares.  While Ingram is suspended, he is the starter.  That means there is a good chance he remains the starter throughout the season, because of the investment the Saints have made in him.

Strategy:  I am an Alvin Kamara truther.  If he falls to me in the first round, I am drafting him.  I think his ADP is exactly where it needs to be.  The only issue I have is that in standard, some people think Saquon Barkley is a better value.  I disagree and will discuss why in my Saquon Barkley player profile later in the week.

Ceiling: Kamara could end the year as the number one fantasy back.  Honestly, I think it is more like that he will than he won’t, but I am a Kamara truther.

Floor:  He is a running back and running backs are easily broken.  Some of us who had him in our fantasy playoffs last year know this oh so well.  For all we know, 2017 was an aberration and he will end the year just around the top 30 of running backs.
